Off the first draw the Devil's came out strong and scored the first two goals of the game, setting the bar high for the Spartan's. The Spartan's weren't ready to give up and were able to tackle back with a goal of their own. As time passed the Devil's were able to continue to set the tone for this game scoring another three goals before the Spartan's had a chance to make another run towards the goal. Erin King had two and Bridget Szawlowski added another for Northampton.

The Spartan's were able to gain possession and after a series of give-and-goes, East Longmeadow was able to put a goal past Northampton. After a battle in the midfield, Northampton gained possession once again and Szawlowski was able to make the connection with Julia Sullivan to put another goal past the Spartans. In the final minutes of the half, the Spartans added four goals to the score board and Northampton was able to answer each goal and then some making the half-time score 8-6 Northampton.
